Job Overview : Cosmich Simmons & Brown, LLP is seeking a skilled and motivated Mass and Toxic Tort Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team in its California office.

The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years of general litigation experience, preferably including asbestos and / or talc litigation, excellent academic credentials, and strong research, writing, communication, and advocacy skills.

The candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate a track record of high achievement, and work effectively as part of a team.

Being admitted to and in good standing with the California State Bar is required.

This job is fully remote, but the candidate should be able to be present either in the San Francisco Bay Area or Los Angeles area for training and appearances.

Duties :

• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, pleadings, and discovery responses.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Assist in trial preparation and participate in trial proceedings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Manage caseload and deadlines efficiently.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to team efforts.

Requirements :

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of general litigation experience, preferably in mass and toxic tort litigation.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent research, writing, communication, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
• Track record of high achievement and dedication to professional growth.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Education :

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications :

Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
