Job Title : Sales Estimator

Pay : $25 / hour
About Us : RapidFire Safety & Security is a leading provider of fire, life safety, and physical security services. We are seeking a detail-oriented Sales Estimator to join our team.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our Albuquerque RapidFire team.
Position Overview : The Sales Estimator is responsible for preparing cost estimates and proposals for the installation of intrusion detection, video, access control and fire alarm systems.
This position will analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates to aid management in bidding on or determining price of product and or service.
This position will also propose, close, and gain contracts on system sales opportunities on which they work.
Key Responsibilities :
- Cost Estimates : Prepare cost estimates for installation of electronic detection, video, access control and fire alarm systems for retrofit and new construction projects or services.
- Analyze Plans : Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Review Customers requests on products and materials to understand project bid.
- Product Knowledge : A full understanding of RapidFire recommended products and what can be utilized to solve Customers requests.
- Customer Relationships : Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Estimates : Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors and or subcontractors.
- Collaboration : Partner with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
- Customer Service - Review and process project change requests, acting as liaison between clients and the contractors regarding cost maintenance and changes.
- Additional Services : Make customers aware of additional services available to them. Support Branch Sales Team as needed.
- Propose and Close : Bids to clients on designed solutions. Assess and create contracts, and process deal related paperwork.
Qualifications :
- Education : High school diploma. Relevant certifications or coursework in contract management is a plus.
- Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience in office administration, client relations, or a related field. Experience with Inside sales is a plus.
Skills :
- Excellent Math / Computation skills.
- Excellent customer service skills including phone correspondence, and in-person.
- Superior attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong computer skills (company proposal software, Adobe, Smart Draw and Microsoft Office tools)
