Job description
Keystone is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization in York County, South Carolina. We offer internationally accredited and licensed services including education, prevention and treatment to meet the needs of individuals, families, and groups that are experiencing alcohol and / or drug related problems.
We are seeking a fulltime Nurse Coordinator that holds a RN License .
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
1. Capable of performing appropriate nursing services, including admission nursing assessment, accurate and professional charting, (to include proficiency with MS Office computer software applications and / or medical records software / applications, emails, etc.
knowledge of and strict adherence to Inpatient Medication Program for patients, on-going assessment of patient throughout stay and through completion of patient discharges.
2.Oversees education and consultation with patients about health and wellness related issues, and information about their medications to ensure appropriate referrals as needed.
3.Collaborates with members of the multidisciplinary team to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate appropriate education and nursing competencies for the services.
4.Supervises, coordinates and trains outpatient and inpatient nursing staff / duties.
5.Responsible for the Supervision of Nursing services for the agency (inpatient & outpatient) to include performance evaluations.
6.Works closely with multi-disciplinary team to ensure programs development, expansion and sustainability through maximizing revenue capabilities to include coordination of MCO and other billing related issues.
7.Coordinates Nursing schedule to ensure medical coverage and coordinates with Treatment Director to assure provision of quality care.
8. Coordinates with Medical Director to ensure appropriate medical decisions are made to assure provision of quality of care.
9.Maintain communication with appropriate Inpatient and Outpatient staff regarding schedule, patient treatment needs and aftercare plans.
10.Coordinates the agencys medication program.
11.Require regular and reliable attendance.
12.Attend all mandatory training / licensure and receive an annual TB screening.
13.Must have excellent organizational skills in regard to keeping client records and pertinent medical documentation.
14.Completes required audits, i.e., medication peer review, etc.
15.Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
