Position Description

The safety / fleet coordinator assists in supporting company EHS and Fleet guidelines, maintains compliance records, communicates EHS initiatives and directives, and works closely with area department managers, corporate EHS and Fleet department leaders.

The safety / fleet coordinator is responsible for coordinating with local management to ensure all activity is compliant with Everon, State and Federal safety regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Safety / Fleet Coordinator

  • Work closely with Regional EHS Manager(s) and the Director of Fleet
  • Assist management in implementation of Standards, Policies & IIPP
  • Promote safety culture by increasing safety awareness and attitude
  • Work with Sales and Field team management to ensure ISN, Avetta and other safety pre-qualification systems are updated and requests addressed.
  • Track and record inspections of equipment, vehicles, warehouse and facility
  • Assist management in conducting safety orientations for new employees
  • Manage EHS and fleet documentation including workers compensation, licensing, training records, inspections, safety council minutes and communication board(s)
  • Keeps OSHA Log(s) and event records up to date
  • Ensures adequate safety gear and supplies are available
  • Coordinates, records and participates in monthly Safety Council meetings
  • Coordinates emergency evacuation drills to gauge employee readiness
  • Maintains accurate information in Fleet Management System.
  • Manage local fuel cards, telematics reports, fleet count and high-risk reports.
  • May require travel to various job sites or offices

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Safety and Health Management preferred but not required
  • Prior experience with Workers Compensation and / or Fleet management a plus

  • Must be an effective communicator, and be comfortable addressing issues directly
  • Must be able to stay on task and organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Works well in team environment
  • Pays close attention to detail and exhibits strong organizational skills
  • Possesses solid problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Must be motivated and proactive
  • Must have computer skills to navigate MS Office products and Internet Browsers

Work Environment

Majority of time will be spent in an office setting

Occasional travel to other offices may be required

Standard 40-hour workweek applies.

Pay and Benefits Disclosure :

The pay range for this role is $19.99- $33.31 an hour and is based on experience and qualifications. We offer employees access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, short term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and paid time off among others.

Employees accrue up to 120 hours in their first year. Your accrual rate increases after your first year. We also offer 6 paid holidays.
