- Previous Director of Engineering experience in a hotel setting is required -
- A minimum of three years
- Total engineering experience should be at least six years
- Effectively delegate work and tasks to subordinates to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel
- Must possess excellent time management and organizational skills
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of all phases of hotel engineering - plumbing, electrical, and HVAC .
- Creating and managing schedules for preventive and general maintenance, planning and prioritizing tasks, and responding to guest requests
- Overseeing projects from start to finish, including determining costs and ensuring projects stay on budget and on schedule
- Supervising and delegating tasks to the maintenance team, and working with contractors and internal resources
- Leading the installation of new equipment and troubleshooting and repairing hotel systems, facilities, and equipment
- Overseeing costs associated with repairs and replacements, and ensuring the property runs smoothly and efficiently
