About Brillante Academy

Brillante Academy Public Charter School opened its doors in August 2023 with Pre-K through 2nd grade and serve over 350 students from the Rio Grande Valley in the Mission area and surrounding communities in its second year.

We will grow one grade-level a year until 8th grade. Over the next decade, we plan to expand our network across the state of Texas to serve over 7,000 students.

The Charter Management Organization (CMO) for Brillante Academy is Seton Education Partners, a Catholicly inspired organization that also manages the Seton Teaching Fellows missionary program and El Camino, an optional after-school Catholic faith formation program.

Seton Education Partners is also the CMO for our sister schools, the Brilla Schools Network, which are having a transformational impact in Bronx, NY.

Position Overview

We are looking for a mission-driven leader who is energized by playing a support role on our Operations team, which is responsible for designing and implementing efficient day-to-day systems and routines that contribute to a joyful school culture and the highest-levels of learning, instruction and organizational stewardship (finance, data, compliance, asset management, facilities, transportation, food & nutrition, etc.

This role's primary responsibility will be supporting the health of our students through the management of an exceptional food service program.

Some responsibilities include data entry, reporting, cafeteria culture and behavior, inventory, quality control, clean-up and customer service.

They will also support the Operations Team with facility management, custodial responsibilities and special projects. This is an hourly, 30 hour a week position which reports to the Operations Manager

Qualifications

• Belief in the Brillante Academy mission, model and values
• High School Diploma or GED
• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
• Experience in food service (school cafeteria, restaurant or in hospitality industry) strongly preferred
• Basic food handling skills
• Comfort with computers and technology
• Has or willing to obtain Servsafe Certification
