Processes orders for purchases which range from general / small and requiring simple competition to technical / large and requiring complex competition.
Additional procurement duties as required for all code defined sourcing methods, including but not limited to negotiating, responding to protests, debriefing, managing assignments and novations, discussions, panel meetings, responding to FOIA requests, etc.
- Performs all contract administration duties beginning with specification development and ending with contract close-out or property disposal.
- Serves as liaison and consultant for University community including faculty, staff, suppliers, and constituents.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience :
Requires a bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and / or experience.
Preferred Qualifications :
Universal Public Procurement Certification Council (UPPCC), CPPO or CPPB. NIGP- CPP is preferred.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
A knowledge of State and University policy and procedures. Familiarization with SC Consolidated Procurement Code. Experience related to state procurement and / or professional services.
Capable of working harmoniously with a diverse group of people.
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Good analytical and decision making skills required.
