Role Description :

As itopia moves forward into our next phase of growth, we are building an Account Executive team that can leverage itopia’s success, global partners, existing customers and demand generation strategy to develop and maintain relationships with enterprise IT departments in K-12 School Districts and Higher Ed Institutions at the Director of IT, CIO, CISO and CTO levels.

We are looking for a dynamic, high-performing Senior Account Executive with years of experience working within complex sales cycles in the education domain to close SaaS deals or Google for Education solutions such as Workspace, Security and Chromebooks.

You will be responsible for searching and closing new business, working with customer success on expansions, and quarterbacking opportunities generated by various internal and external channels.

The ideal candidate has existing relationships and capabilities to farm existing customers, but is ready to primarily focus as a hunter who is highly motivated to build out a region and win.

Role Responsibilities :

  • Lead complex sales cycles to differentiate itopia’s cloud based application streaming solutions, cyber security, and browser management solutions to achieve quota objectives
  • Develop and manage relationships with prospects and customers to ensure referenceability and customer satisfaction
  • Develop new sales opportunities via outbound prospecting and networking efforts
  • Manage complex sales-cycles and present / demo to Dir / VP / C-level executives the value of itopia’s solutions in face-to-face and virtual meetings
  • Forecast accurately and maintain all sales cycle activities within itopia’s CRM system in accordance with itopia’s sales process and methodology
  • Build a pipeline of qualified opportunities based on your existing professional network and your excellent outbound hunting skills
  • Work with both internal and external solutions architects and engineers to deliver an exceptional experience to prospective prospects and customers
  • Establish relationships with key decision makers, e.g., leadership in Engineering, Infrastructure, Device Management, Information Security, CTO, CISO and CIO

You do this by :

  • Establishing relationships with key Channel partners to achieve and develop opportunities
  • Establishing relationships with internal resources in order to manage and close specific opportunities consistent with account strategies
  • Sourcing new customer and partnership opportunities from your existing professional network
  • Learning and presenting product demos to Customers focusing on positioning and selling itopia
  • Boosting and promoting product updates, promos, case studies etc. daily on Linkedin and other social media platforms
  • Attending various networking events and conferences to represent itopia and our unique, cutting edge products, travel up to 40%

We are looking for the following attributes :

  • 6-10 years K-12, Higher Education or EdTech selling experience
  • Based in either Austin, San Antonio, Houston, or Dallas-Fort Worth
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
  • Knowledge of K-12, Higher Education or EdTech markets and procurement processes, ideal candidate will have rolodex with Education accounts
  • Past work at a startup and / or a scaling business unit within a large software company
  • Self-driven and proficient at outbound prospecting
  • Track record of consistently exceeding performance objectives such as revenue targets, pipeline targets, and outbound activity
  • Knowledge of security tools and virtualization technologies
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing, team environment
  • Experience using Google Workspaces
  • Experience using a CRM system (Salesforce / Gong)
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt, work calmly and maintain good judgment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective team player who can lead efforts across disciplines
  • Proven communicator with excellent written and presentation communication skill

Must Haves :

  • Bachelor's degree in related technical field or equivalent practical experience (minimum of 7-10 years)
  • Existing K12 or Higher Ed relationships within the region
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening

Base salary plus quarterly incentive is commensurate with experience. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location, and therefore will vary from individual to individual.
