As a Sheet Metal Technician you must :

Be able to Install metal per the instructions and provided documents (plans / specs) and follow guidelines as described by a supervisor.

• Department Supervisor : Director of operations
• Direct Supervisor : Crew foreman
• Direct Reports : Crew Foreman

Specific Duties Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

Install metal

oTake and verify field measurements

oConceptualize and create layout while taking SMACNA guidelines Into consideration

oInstall metal as specified

oProper operation and maintenance of metal fabricating tools and equipment

oMaintain site and / or truck Inventory to ensure production Is not put on hold

Work safely

oAbide by all jobsite safety requirements including PPE fall protection and others.

oReport all situations improperly protected Immediately and nbsp;

oRefuse to put oneself or others in a situation deemed unsafe by OSHA or company policy.

Participate in training

oParticipate in safety meetings.

oAttend all companywide training events.

oParticipate in manufacturer systemspecific training.

oParticipate in all other training as assigned.

Deliver excellent quality and customer satisfaction

oPerform work according to company and trade specific standards.

oCollaborate with the assigned crew and work for the benefit of all.

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Work Skills Sheet Metal Technician must exhibit technical skills necessary to perform metal fabrication tasks.

Metal Installation and nbsp; the ability to Install the following correctly :

Coping

Gravel Guard

Gutter and amp; Downspouts

Receiver and amp; Counterflashing

ThroughWall

Standing Seam Metal Roofing

Metal Wall Panels and nbsp;

Field Fabrication As necessary

Metal Transitions / Miters

Multiple Metal Joint Conditions

Stepped Flashings

Attention to detail the ability to pay attention to quality and safety with a goal of fabricating correctly and working safely and a willingness to make improvements

Language skills ability to read analyze and interpret workrelated documents

Candidate should possess :

Valid Texas Drivers license with insurable record.

Bilingual English / Spanish preferred.

• High School diploma or equivalent required. and nbsp;
• Available to travel short distances for a week at a time. and nbsp;
• Willingness to learn new skills and amp; systems. and nbsp;
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing preferred. and nbsp;
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in work. and nbsp;

Ability to prioritize tasks meet deadlines and work effectively in a fastpaced environment.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Positive and professional attitude and the ability to work under pressure.
