Description

The nature of the programmatic and modality work performed by this position includes Home Based Services, Adoption and Guardianship Support Services, Family Preservation Services, and Family Centered Treatment services.

This role will provide leadership and supervision to all direct reports, including weekly supervision, staffing, skill-building, and advocacy.

This role is responsible to ensure staff are fully trained and competent in providing high-quality programming to clients, and all policies, procedures, and systems are understood and followed.

Requirements

This position provides supervisory oversight of the positions noted below. Supervisor oversight includes :

  • Onboarding : Work with recruiters, coordinate the recruiting / onboarding process, and create and coordinate new hire training for direct reports.
  • Employee Development : Ensure all direct reports meet training guidelines, and continue to develop them professionally with appropriate training opportunities and experiences (i.

e. CEUs, monthly meetings, and workshops).

  • Employee Retention : Provide regular opportunities for detailed feedback from each direct report.
  • Performance Evaluation : Conduct collaborative performance evaluations for all direct reports on a regular basis.

Major Responsibilities / Activities

  • Provide training, support, supervision, and encouragement to direct reports.
  • Provide leadership and encouragement to the district team.
  • Responsible for district clinical and programming goals and outcomes.
  • Execute job responsibilities consistent with the agency tenets of culture, mission, vision, and beliefs, while adhering to all company policies, procedures, and deadlines.
  • Facilitate weekly staffing, supervise cases, and provide consultations, as needed for direct reports.
  • Review client documentation, including progress notes, supervised visitation reports, monthly reports, and court reports.
  • Work with the District Director to market services for growth opportunities.
  • Assign referrals to direct reports and ensure they have appropriately assigned caseloads.
  • Oversee Adoption & Guardianship Support Services as assigned to direct reports.
  • Address problems and communication issues with referral sources in assigned districts.
  • Organize and lead routine staff meetings with district leadership.
  • Provide orientation and training for new team members to include scheduling of job shadows with experienced staff; Lifeline policies and procedures relating to overall company practices and HBS practices specifically.
  • Analyze and evaluate team productivity goals, clinical competencies, and quality assurance for trends and continual improvement.
  • Track and report necessary details of direct reports’ performance, including all documentation, risks, missed supervision, supervision forms, shadowing forms, employee concerns, and coaching steps taken to assist.
  • Promote the mission, vision, and values of Lifeline.
  • Demonstrate respect for social-cultural values, personal goals, lifestyle choices, and complex family interactions, and deliver services in a culturally competent fashion.
  • Support quality clinical training and development, utilizing evidence-based practices and growing comprehensive services.
  • Ensure compliance with DCS service standards and COA.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to make timely and ethical decisions for the district.
  • Offer insight and input to strengthen Lifeline’s performance and quality of services and to improve client satisfaction.
  • Cover cases for direct reports, as needed.

Travel

Travel includes driving typically within assigned districts and will be determined by the needs of staff and clients.

Physical and Visual Acuity Requirements

The physical requirement of this position is defined as Light Work : Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 10 pounds of force frequently.

When serving clients, lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.

The visual acuity requirements needed to perform this position include having close visual acuity to perform activities such as : preparing and analyzing data and figures;

viewing a computer terminal; and reading.

Required Education and Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a similar field.
  • 5 years experience in social work or similar field.
  • Clinical License-LCSW ONLY
  • Proven leadership and management experience.
  • 18+ months experience in child welfare and / or adoption / guardianship.
  • 21+ years of age.
