- Schedule : Hours 6am-2 : 45pm
- Pay Rate : $18-$23
Commercial Sewer Job Description :
- Sewing : Operate industrial sewing machines to stitch and assemble fabric for furniture upholstery.
- Pattern Use : Follow patterns and design specs to cut and sew fabric pieces accurately.
- Quality Check : Inspect finished upholstery for defects and ensure it meets quality standards.
- Machine Maintenance : Keep sewing machines in good working order with routine maintenance.
Commercial Sewer Job Requirements :
- Experience : Prior experience in industrial sewing, particularly in furniture or upholstery production (JUKI & CONSEW machine experience a plus).
- Skills : Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and interpreting patterns.
- Attention to Detail : Ability to ensure precision and quality in all sewn products.
- Physical Stamina : Capability to perform repetitive tasks and handle heavy fabrics for extended periods.
- Teamwork : Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a production team.
- Problem-Solving : Ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues and make quick adjustments during sewing.
- Education : High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in sewing or upholstery is a plus.
