We are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to lead the Outbound department at clients state-of-the-art Distribution Centre in Andover.
This role is pivotal in delivering our extensive IT product range to the marketplace, encompassing retail, wholesale, export, and mezzanine operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Operational Excellence : Oversee all aspects of the dispatch process to ensure timely and accurate delivery of customer orders.
Manage and develop project proposals with robust quantitative and qualitative analysis. Assess and enhance workflow and processes to drive efficiency.
Financial Management : Exercise meticulous cost control through budgeting, forecasting, and detailed financial analysis.
Manage and reconcile invoices, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptly.
Team Leadership : Direct and motivate a large team of supervisors and warehouse operatives, setting clear objectives and monitoring performance.
Foster a supportive and inclusive work environment, encouraging feedback and professional growth.
Performance Management : Constantly evaluate team performance, offering mentoring and coaching to enhance skills and boost productivity.
Ensure all team members meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).
Communication : Maintain professional standards in all forms of communication, including effective meeting management and impactful email correspondence.
Recruitment and Staff Retention : Actively participate in the recruitment and retention of staff, ensuring a diverse and skilled workforce that aligns with company values.
Health and Safety : Champion a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a safe working environment.
Innovation and Improvement : Lead initiatives for continuous improvement and cost reduction. Engage in creative problem-solving and innovative thinking to enhance operational effectiveness and profitability.
Risk and Security Management : Implement rigorous security measures and risk management strategies to safeguard personnel, processes, and assets.

Required Skills and Qualifications :
Proven experience in Operations Management within a warehouse setting, preferably in the IT distribution sector.
Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Strong analytical and project management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel as required and manage multiple tasks effectively.
