What this Position Does : Shows and leases apartment homes to prospective residents and supports the properties marketing plan.
The Day-to-Day Responsibilities This Person will be Overseeing :
Lease to qualified prospects by showing available apartments. Greet and qualify prospects, follow up on prospective residents and market the community to telephone and Internet prospects.
Timely and accurate processing of all required administrative forms, leases and related information.
Provide quality customer service and timely response to resident requests and complaints.
Maintain relationships with all apartment locator services and local businesses to provide information material. Update periodically.
Maintain on-going resident retention program under direction of Community Manager.
Shop’ competitive properties
Maintain professional appearance of office, amenity areas, model apartments and community.
Ability to handle / manage multiple tasks
Demonstrated sales, telephone sales and negotiation techniques
Thorough knowledge of lease terms, specifications and all community policies. Fully informed of current rental rates, sizes, locations and all amenities of property.
Up to date on Fair Housing Laws.
Maintain the required property uniform and ensure a professional appearance at all times.
Miscellaneous duties as required

What Education and / or Experience You Will Bring to the Table : Required- High School diploma, or General Education Degree (GED);
or one to three months related experience and or / training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associate or College degree preferred.
Computer Skills and / or Office Equipment Knowledge : Word processing, Yardi, Blue Moon, proficient in Excel and Word; ability to use calculator, copy machine, fax machine, telephone, key machine.
Mathematical Skills You Will Either Bring to or Learn in the Position : Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
Analytical Abilities this Person Will Bring to the Table : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to handle problems involving a few concrete variables, in standardized situations.
Communication Skills Involved With the Position : Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write reports and correspondence.
Physical Demands Required : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to type on computer as well as talk and hear on the telephone.
The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms;
climb or balance; stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 10 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment This Person Will Experience : While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
