Savannah Technical College is seeking a Director of Administrative Services. Duties include :
- Trains, assigns, and directs the work of assigned personnel; provides guidance to less experienced accountants
- Supervisors Bookstore Operations Manager to ensure financial success of Campus Shops
- Analyzes and resolves difficult accounting problems
- Facilitates general accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, account reconciliation, purchasing, asset management, and cash management
- Submits financial reports as requested in a timely manner
- Supervises balancing of financial records at month-end
- Assists with year-end closing procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field "and" Five (5) years of professional accounting experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in governmental accounting and GAAP
- Master's degree in accounting or closely related field
- Proficiency in the following computer programs / applications : PeopleSoft Financials, BANNER Student Database - specifically BANNER Accounts Receivable, Nebraska Bookstore System, Workday, and the Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working within the Technical College System of Georgia strongly preferred
- Previous supervisory experience
