What You'll Do :
Promote Safety Culture. Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with OSHA and Vulcan standards.
Follow and maintain standards set for all equipment.
Drive Safely. Drive Flatbed Truck-Trailer combination hauling water tank and skid steer to, from, and within construction project sites.
Inspect and Maintain. Perform daily truck and equipment inspections.
Assist Paving Crew. In addition to driving responsibilities, work with asphalt paving crew including but not limited to raking, shoveling, operating equipment, etc.
Perform General Physical Activities. Perform physical activities such as cleaning all areas on the vehicle, inspecting truck / trailer, asphalt labor duties, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Skills You'll Need :
Experience. Related CDL experience and / or training is required.
Ready to Drive. Must possess a valid Class A commercial driver's license, DOT Medical Card, and Tanker endorsement (or obtain Tanker endorsement within 30 days of employment).
Language Skills. Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Must have the ability to complete daily truck and equipment inspection paperwork.
Must be able to communicate effectively.
Flexibility. Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
Must be available to work nights and weekends, if needed.
