As a dosimetrist at UCLA Radiation Oncology, you will be at the forefront of patient care, playing a crucial role in treatment planning and ensuring the precise delivery of radiation therapy.

Your responsibilities will include supporting all aspects of patient care, from creating treatment plans to executing them according to the prescriptions set by our Radiation Oncology attending physicians.

Job Qualifications

Required :

• Bachelor's degree and one year of training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• CMD eligible
• Knowledgeable in the operation of radiotherapy equipment, including linear accelerators, cobalt teletherapy units, simulators, dosimetric equipment, brachytherapy equipment, computerized treatment planning systems, and record and verification / patient information management systems.
• Proficient in external beam and brachytherapy treatment planning.
• Ability to perform and analyze in-vivo and in-phantom measurements.
• Knowledgeable of current radiotherapy treatment techniques.
• Ability to assess and plot radiation dose distributions.
• Skill in providing treatment planning and dose-calculation services for patient treatment and diagnosis with external, interstitial, intracavitary, and distributed internal sources.
• Knowledge of the principles of radiation safety and Health Physics.
• Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, clinical oncology, radiobiology, radiation physics
• Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings and weekends.
