Janitor
Reports to : Operations Manager
Classification : Seasonal, Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Please Note : The schedule for this role includes weekend and holiday hours.
Summary
The Janitor is responsible for providing cleaning service for guests, agencies, and staff. Ensures that the restrooms, chem-toilets (port-a-potty's), grounds and facilities are well maintained, cleaned and disinfected, presentable, and fully stocked throughout the day and in a timely manner.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for cleaning and disinfecting all property restroom and facilities to provide a safe and pleasant environment for our customers / visitors.
- Follows approved maintenance and cleaning schedule.
- Operates a company vehicle, driving for extended periods of time in inclement, seasonal weather conditions and cleans / maintains vehicle in accordance with company guidelines.
- Trash pick-up throughout the recreation areas, roadsides, grounds. Maintains trash barrels keep emptied at all times and all areas around trash are to be kept neat and clean.
- Follows Company recycling guidelines and regulations.
- Monitors levels of janitorial supplies, inventory, and equipment based on seasonal demand.
- Inspects facilities for cleanliness and maintenance and reports concerns to supervisor.
- Ensure all purchase and work orders are clearly defined for purpose and urgency.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Possesses good communications skills, a courteous demeanor, and a helpful attitude.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and be insurable through our motor vehicle carrier.
- Ability to operate a company vehicle and maintain the vehicle in accordance with company guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Basic manual labor abilities, including an ability and willingness to clean and sanitize facilities with a variety of cleaning agents and chemicals, move about the facility for extended periods of time and occasional lifting of 25+ lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Available to work on-call, shifts, after hours, over weekends, and on holidays
- Possesses a genuine concern for guests' experience and enjoys frequent interaction with the public.
