A law firm in Salt Lake City, UT, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 1-2 years of experience in general liability litigation.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for pre-trial and trial work, motion practice, depositions, case management, and maintaining considerable client contact.
This position requires excellent research and writing skills.
Duties :
- Conduct pre-trial and trial work related to general liability litigation cases.
- Handle motion practice, including drafting and arguing motions.
- Conduct depositions of witnesses and experts.
- Manage cases from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on case progress and obtain necessary information.
- Attend court hearings and conferences as required.
Requirements :
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Utah State Bar in good standing.
- 1-2 years of experience in general liability litigation.
- Strong understanding of civil procedure and litigation process.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Education :
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications :
Admission to the Utah State Bar in good standing.
