Senior Business Analytics Lead, SVP (hybrid)

This role will be part of the Financial Risk Technology Team in Citis Institutional Clients Group (ICG). This team is responsible for delivering market and credit risk technology and software solutions for Citis Front Office and Back Office Risk Management, which is an independent global function that is responsible for managing market, credit, operational, country, and underwriting risks that are embedded in the activities of its worldwide customer base.

Software solutions from this group include high-throughput feed processing engines to process factor sensitivities and market data, high-performance pricing calculation engines that run on compute grids as well as large in-memory servers to calculate Value at Risk (VaR), Stress Testing and limit utilization calculations, and high-availability big data lakes for sharing risk metrics and stress results with Front Office, Risk, and Finance organizations.

Roles in this team will provide candidates with a unique engineering opportunity to work on best-in-class software solutions for Front Office and Back Office Risk Management with latest commercial-off-the-shelf and cloud-enabled technology stack.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide strong hands-on in architecting / implementing data frameworks in big data space.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of technical and business domain concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues.
• Manage a team of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)
• Enforce industry standard SDLC best practices for effectively managing the codebase.
• Partner with other software engineers, dev-ops, and production support staff to deliver robust software solutions
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Skills :

• Big data development with extensive hands-on experience with Spark programming
• Strong knowledge of big data tools like Hive, Impala, Spark, etc.
• Strong Knowledge in one of Java / Python / Scala programming languages
• Experience in designing solutions based on big data / spark methodology of development
• Experience with NoSQL, Web services, Big Data security / entitlements
• Should be familiar with algorithms and design patterns
• Familiarity with Linux environment including scripting skills
• SDLC / Dev Ops - Git / BitBucket, CI / CD pipeline frameworks such as Jenkins, SonarQube, JIRA, Any secure coding toolkits

Knowledge & Experience :

Proven engineering experience building robust, scalable and maintainable applications in the Capital Markets Technology industry.

Ideally 15+ years of application development experience.

• 8+ years in a technical leadership role, with experience leading global technology teams.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Big Data development using Spark, Hive on batch and real time processing
• Experience in performing optimization on Big Data platform
• Experience with Market Risk is a significant advantage.

Education :

• Graduate in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) discipline.
• Masters degree preferred

Understand Reporting and analytics framework development

Experience in BI tools like tableau is a plus

Understanding of marketrisk or finance domain is a must

Manage a team of spark / python and tableau developers
