job_description.job_card.job_descriptionInput accurate data and shipment details into the company's CRM platform Consults with clients by providing exceptional customer service pertaining to all logistics Takes initiative to strategically address / resolve all shipment / carrier delays, customs holds, Demonstrates the ability make executive operational decisions timely on a day-to-day basis Communicates with customers, carriers and truckers on shipment status and / or delays both Establishes and maintains relationships with all domestic carriers / vendors / foreign agents Coordinates movement of freight for clients with internal departments & overseas agents Works to upsell current clients on additional value of Horizon's product and service offerings Experience with vendor invoice review, auditing and billing reconciliation Diligently adheres to all internal operational procedures & policies, while taking initiative to Other tasks as assigned Minimum of 10+ years logistics experience in logistics Must have knowledge of ocean export / import procedures including documentation and Experience with cruise logistics, specifically perishable shipments Demonstrates the ability to clearly articulate via both email and phone to multiple audiences Pays attention to detail, is proactive in preventing errors and avoiding penalties Possesses time management skills to work under pressure with tight deadlines; able to pivot Has good interpersonal skills and has a team mindset Computer literate with experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint High School Graduate, college degree a plus Industry certifications a plus (Hazmat certified)

Location : This role is based in Inwood NY 11096
Key Responsibilities :
- Coordinate and facilitate all ocean freight export operational processes including, but not
limited to, carrier freight / drayage bookings, documentation, AES, preparation of warehouse
picking lists and the tracking of global shipments
needs and freight movements
documentation errors, revisions to carrier ETD / ETA schedules and other unexpected issues
that occur
verbally and via email when needed during in and non-office hours
when necessary to resolve issues expeditiously
when the opportunity arises
present process improvement initiatives to existing workflows
