What You Will Do :

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a highly motivated individual to support Hot Section Module Center’s Manufacturing Engineering Organization as Product ME for legacy turbine vanes including F100, F119, PW4000, PW2000 & V2500 programs.

The Product ME owns hardware across entire value stream and is responsible for quality, cost and delivery. Expectation is to drive improvement through collaboration with supporting organizations such as, Operations, Quality, Process Mfg Eng, MCL and Design Eng.

Responsibilities :

  • With specific parts ownership, this role will drive manufacturing process improvements across multiple process steps that spans the full value stream of the parts.
  • Provide focused & effective leadership in the advancement of MRL elements to drive manufacturing risk identification and mitigation to achieve superior quality performance.
  • Identify & implement process optimization & control methods to eliminate / prevent quality turn backs / escapes and reduce overall product costs.
  • As a key member of the Integrated Product Team (IPT), significant interaction with product designers, tool designers, quality assurance, systems designers, and other stakeholders is required
  • Use statistical analysis tools to perform Root cause analysis and corrective actions on non-conforming product.
  • Drive targeted manufacturing process optimization activities through tools such as Value Stream Mapping and Process Flow Diagram, PFMEA, Control Plans, Measurement Systems Analysis, Yield & Cost curves and Qualification plan.
  • The discipline and follow-through to fully document problem statements, observations, conclusions, calculations and recommendations.
  • Lead significant projects critical to improve manufacturing process capability & quality performance
  • Represent the organization in various forums related to MRL execution. Develop standard work, procedures, and integrate industry-standard best practices.
  • Create and maintain shop floor work instructions for changes to : specifications, engineering changes, and quality assurance documents

Qualifications You Must Have :

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in complex manufacturing activities
  • Demonstrated proficiency leading and managing a portfolio of cross functional projects
  • Excellent knowledge of MS office computer software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Able to use Minitab and other statistical software.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in statistics, data analytics, DOE, and multivariate statistics.

Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and / or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
