About the Role
As a Manager Compliance & Tax Reporting, you will report to the Director Federal Tax. You will oversee compliance, manage and develop staff, collaborate with team members and our businesses, and enhance processes.
Your role will be pivotal in ensuring regulatory adherence and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Managing, setting priorities, developing direct reports and collaborating with Group Tax and business units.
- Managing federal, state, and local income / franchise tax return compliance process, including acting as the main point of contact to our outsourced compliance provider.
- Assisting with quarterly and yearly tax reporting processes.
- Identifying and presenting potential automation and process improvements.
- Building key internal and external working relationships.
- Providing technical guidance and support as needed.
- Managing and / or assisting with other projects as needed, including, but not limited to, acquisitions, disposals, and other corporate transactions.
Requirements
- Have a degree in accounting or finance, as well as being a CPA.
- Have several years proven experience with public accounting firms or corporate tax for medium-large companies. This experience must include income tax accounting.
Experience with accounting methods is a plus.
- Demonstrate experience in effectively directing and managing direct reports.
- Display excellent project management, quantitative / analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate influencing, communication, and strategic relationship-building abilities.
- Be proactive, culturally aware, and capable of effectively presenting complex data and concepts.
- Have a track record of identifying and adopting technology / process improvements.
