Sr. Guidewire Rating Business Analyst
Location : Webster, MA (hybrid role, onsite 2-3 days minimum)
Target Start Date : 11 / 1 / 24
Job Description
Help the client (business side) define new Rating (rate book / rating routine) for Commercial Auto in the state of MA and design GW PC Rating and GW PC for this new Rating.
Work in a fast paced cross functional agile (Scrum / SAFe) work environment
Lead requirements through GW PC / Rating design.
Work with client SME to elicit business and technical requirements.
Conduct and facilitate workshops / JAD sessions, etc., with internal and client stake holders; Seek timely approvals from the client SME / stakeholders
Gather requirements for Guidewire Rating module (Rate book, rate table, rate routines)
Develop functional specifications in the form of User Stories, process flows, use cases, data mappings leveraging tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Rally, etc.,
Conduct user story / sprint demonstrations at the end of sprint / release
Participate in agile sprint ceremonies, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews and retrospective sessions
Conduct end user training by means of workshops, training guides and operation manuals
Work with globally distributed across geographies for the purpose of delivering
Work with internal development, testing teams to support requirements clarifications throughout the project execution
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Excellent Domain knowledge in Property & Casualty Commercial Auto Insurance, specific to Rating. Understand how to design and implement new Rating in GW PC Rating Cloud.
Detailed knowledge of Guidewire applications specifically PolicyCenter and Rating
Experience in documenting specification for Rating (Rate book, rate table and rate routines).
Experienced at gathering, defining, and organizing business and functional requirements including acceptance criteria for use by developers and tester to implement and test a functionality
Ability to lead and facilitate the requirements gathering sessions and work with GW Developers, Testers and Config
Nice to Have :
Agile Certifications(Scrum / SAFe)
Experience in implementing cloud solutions
InsureTech enthusiast
Passion to keep up to date on P&C best practices and new solutions to support best practices
Technical Skills :
Guidewire, Edge and REST APIs
Experience working on Java, DBMS, Cloud, Integrations (Web Services, Message Queues, Service Bus), DevOps, Web / Mobile developments using Angular / React etc.
Management tools like Confluence, Jira, Rally, HP ALM
Microsoft Office suite, Visio etc.
