The tax manager will lead and manage multiple operations of the tax practice area and deliver quality tax services to clients.

They will serve as a business advisor to clients, working to maximize engagement and achieve qualitative outcomes. The tax manager will perform tax services in compliance with laws and regulations, build relationships with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting, and expertise, and manage innovative tax planning programs.

They will review complex income tax returns, identify all tax risks, manage the tax provision and compliance process, suggest innovative solutions for process improvement using best practices, manage and coordinate tax audits, and manage and track tax balances on the general ledger.

The tax manager will prepare all tax papers on a regular basis and handle all information data requests.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within the timeframe
• Build relationships and interact with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting, and expertise
• Provide innovative tax planning and review complex income tax returns
• Identify and mitigate tax risks
• Coordinate accounting staff and assess their performance
• Manage tax provision and tax compliance process
• Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices
• Manage and coordinate tax audits
• Maintain tax balances on the general ledger
• Prepare all tax papers on a regular basis and handle all information data requests

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, taxation, finance, business, or related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
• Proven experience as a tax manager, public accountant, or similar role
• Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns
• Proven work experience in delivering a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within the timeframe
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently
• Knowledge of tax software and MS Office
• Ability to identify opportunities to grow the company’s client base
