MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS :
- Education - Must have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Experience - Must have five years of experience working with IT systems infrastructure, including experience in technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, networking, DHCP, WINS, SharePoint, VMware, Workspace ONE, VMware MDT, Azure, AWS, Exchange, Windows Server, Apache, UNIX, Oracle, SQL, and SMS / SCCM.
Must have experience in scripting and database management systems like Oracle, MySQL Server, and Postgres.
- Equivalent Education and / or Experience - May have an equivalent combination of education and experience to substitute for both the education and experience requirements.
- Certification / Registration / Licensure - Prefer certification as a Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) or similar industry-recognized certification.
Prefer CompTIA Security + Certified or similar industry-recognized certification.
Skills or Special Abilities - Must have a solid understanding of CVE, CVSS, and vulnerability scanning and reporting tools.
Must be able to develop system specifications, decision flows, and operational documentation. Must have good communication skills and critical thinking abilities.
Should be able to work on urgent tasks and multitask effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Protecting the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of information assets on-premise and in cloud environments.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining firmware updates, operating system security patches, and vulnerability remediation.
- Conducting hardware and software audits to ensure compliance with standards.
- Implementing enhancements to improve system reliability and performance.
- Developing, executing, and tracking security measures to protect information and network infrastructure.
- Generating, analyzing, and reporting on vulnerabilities and recommending mitigations.
- Serving as a resource for systems engineering team employees.
- Maintaining a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database.
- Identifying ways to improve work processes and customer satisfaction.
- Staying updated on developments in the field by attending seminars and workshops.
- Maintaining knowledge of rules, regulations, and guidelines impacting IT systems.
