JOB SUMMARY :
Responsible for the maintenance of commercial landscapes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Experience
Commercial landscape experience preferred, but not required
License or Certification
Valid Driver’s License issued from state of employment required.
Specialized Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with Foreman and team members
- Bi-lingual English / Spanish preferred but not required
- Strong commitment to high quality of work and customer service
- Ability to complete tasks assigned in a timely manner
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out tasks
- Deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables

- Constantly required to talk, hear, see, stand and walk
- Must be able to see at close vision, distant vision, peripherally, have depth perception and have the ability to adjust focus

- Frequently required to lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds

- Frequently works with mechanical objects and outside in all weather conditions
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals
- Frequently exposed to loud noise levels
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Maintain job site as instructed by Foreman. Possible duties include, but are not limited to mowing, raking, weeding, shearing, edging, trimming and hand pruning
- Safe operation of equipment, including : 21 and 36 mowers; power hedge trimmers; power shears; backpack blower; aerator
- Trimming of shrubbery with hedge trimmers
- Basic understanding of Plant ID
- Basic hand pruning skills
- Basic skill in shearing shrubs and hedges
- Operate all vehicles and equipment in accordance’s with Monarch Safety Policy
- Abide by Monarch code of conduct at all times
- Shows up to work each day on time; completes all tasks within time expectations; adheres to company dress code policy;
wears clean clothes to work each day; follows inclement weather policy and sick leave reporting procedures
All other duties as assigned.
