Position Summary : The Director of Construction and Development will oversee all construction and development activities for TKC Construction Group and TLD.
This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of multifamily and commercial construction, who can manage complex projects, drive growth, and ensure the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities :
Leadership and Management :
- Lead and manage the construction and development teams for both TKC Construction Group and TLD.
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the teams.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company goals and objectives.
Project Management :
- Oversee all phases of construction and development projects, from inception to completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Manage relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Financial Oversight :
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve financial targets.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the executive leadership team.
Business Development :
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s portfolio.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry leaders.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
Quality Assurance :
- Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Implement best practices in construction and development to achieve uncompromised excellence.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality.
Innovation and Sustainability :
- Promote the use of innovative construction techniques and sustainable practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new technologies and methods into projects.
- Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance environmental performance.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction and development, with a focus on multifamily and commercial projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent financial acumen and experience with budget management.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
