Golf Retail Assistant (Distribution Center)

Responsibilities :

• Manages all activities related to shipping, receiving, and distribution of golf shop merchandise for re-sale.
• Checks in and accounts for all incoming vendor shipments. Receives merchandise into point of sale system to ensure Accounting invoices match.
• Inputs purchase orders and receives merchandise into the Jonas Club Inventory based on actual invoices.
• Process DC to Store Transfers
• Provides monthly DC inventory reports to the Director of Retail and Accounting.
• Prints and tags all merchandise.
• Coordinates distribution of merchandise to appropriate golf shop.
• Transports merchandise from DC to golf shop.
• Assists and Reconciles DC inventory.
• Assist Director of Retail with preparing and reconciling all retail outlets for Quarterly inventories.
• Distributes and Process Adjustments for outside and retail staff uniforms.
• Maintains and reorders uniforms by the advisement of the Merchandise Manager.
• Maintains In-Stock programs for all inventory items that are stored in bulk and distributed to the locations on a par stock basis by the advisement of Hard Goods Buyer and Merchandiser Manager.
• Works closely with accounting department to process invoices in a timely manner in order to take advantage of payment discounts.
• Maintains tight inventory controls for product held in Distribution Center.
• Assists Director of Retail and Merchandise Manager in purchasing merchandise for all retail outlets.
• Maintaining a clean and organized storeroom at all times.
• Assists the Retail Team preparing, selling and cleaning up on any special events such as corporate and member outings.
• Assists with Manager of Retail on contacting vendors regarding damaged or returned merchandise. Processes all RTVs (Returns to Vendors) for defective goods and take back merchandise.
• Delivery of stock and special order merchandise to all retail outlets.
• Handles all UPS, Fed-Ex, Burlington, and Consolidated shipping matters.
• Assist in putting merchandise out for all retail outlets.

Qualifications :

• Must have a minimum of 2-5 years of retail merchandising and / or inventory control experience.
• Must have knowledge of and experience with basic accounting procedures and processes.
• Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills.
• Must have ability to follow projects through to completion.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; have the aptitude to learn Jonas Club Inventory software.
• Must have the physical ability to lift up to lbs. and perform physical duties such as bending, standing, stooping and pulling.
• Must have a valid Ga's driver's license and a good driving record.
