SUMMARY :

The person in this position assists in the daily operation of Sunrise Ranch Kitchen on days when breakfast is served and preparation for lunch as necessary.

Sunrise Ranch is an event center and this individual will be scheduled to support the groups as needs arise.

WORK AVAILABILITY : part-time may include weekends, and holidays. Hours of work are normally 5 : 30 a.m. to 11 : 30 a.m.

SALARY RANGE : $19 - $21 / hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Take control of the breakfast service and ensure guests receive a truly delicious and memorable breakfast.
• Cook and manage breakfast service and assist with lunch service.
• Set up for breakfast and clean the Kitchen after breakfast.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and regulations. Ensure kitchen is clean and hygienic at all times.
• Ensure all stocks are kept under optimum conditions.
• Ensure all mise-en-place is always freshly prepared and on time.
• Ensure all dishes are prepared according to the correct recipe and in the correct quantity.
• Ensure any anticipated issues are communicated promptly to the Executive Chef.
• Ensure all staff under your control are treated fairly and with courtesy.
• Strive for high levels of guest satisfaction and food quality while keeping operation costs and food costs in mind.
• Collect feedback from guests during the breakfast session and report any complaints or issues to the Executive Chef.
• Monitor and ensure that the production, preparation and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all times.
• Ensure personal grooming (cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene) and appearance standards are met.

OTHER DUTIES :

• Assist with producing menus and new dishes.
• Be able to prepare different types of breakfast eggs.
• Ensure costs are kept within the Kitchen budget.
• Be able to handle pressure calmly and professionally.
• Attend training courses as and when required.

• Two to three years of experience in full-service or branded hotels or relevant experience gained in a similar environment

CONDITIONS :

• Work hours 18-24 hours per week; flexible schedule required, including weekends and holidays. Hours of work are normally 5 : 30 a.m. to 11 : 30 a.m.
• Physical requirements :
• Prolonged periods of standing and working in a kitchen.
• Exposure to extreme heat, steam and cold present in a kitchen environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must have manual dexterity to cut and chop foods and perform other related tasks.
