Don’t just work, thrive! Thrive SPC, a national provider of Pediatric Private Duty Nursing, is seeking a Billing and Collections Specialist to join our team.
This person is responsible for timely and accurate electronic transmission and submissions of claims and the timely and accurate resolution of outstanding invoices either through cash collections or adjustments.
The hiring requirements are
- 2-5 years of experience in the medical billing field
- Knowledge of HCPCS coding
- Background in medical terminology
- Working knowledge of Excel
The responsibilities of the Billing and Collections Specialist are :
- Responsible for collection and resolution on all assigned accounts
- Research and submit all state appeals & audits in a timely manner
- Research, prepare and complete any Write Offs
- Verifies that payments received are correct
- Follows up on collections and appeals in an efficient and timely manner
- Demonstrate an ability to prioritize, multitask and utilize time efficiently
- Demonstrates proficiency with software applications used by the company
- Demonstrates the ability to clearly, accurately and concisely document notes in system per company guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
