The Respiratory Care Specialist is responsible for setting up highly technical medical equipment in patient's homes, conducting patient assessments, and providing education.
This role requires strong communication skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate must be certified, registered, or licensed as required by state law.
The position may also involve training other healthcare specialists.
Key Responsibilities :
- Set up and troubleshoot ventilators, monitors, and CPAP units
- Conduct patient assessments and provide education on respiratory homecare techniques
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with accreditation standards
- Represent the company in a professional manner during patient care activities
Requirements :
- Familiarity with equipment and services provided in home health care setting (Level 1)
- Minimum of two years experience in home health care (Level 2)
- Excellent human relations skills and computer literacy
- Current certification, registration, or licensure as required by applicable state and / or national board
