Responsible for the efficiency of Payroll systems while providing leadership and direction to payroll system resources. Manages the development of system workflow solutions and business processes.
Provides strategic leadership in the development, implementation, integration, and maintenance of payroll systems.

What You'll Do :
- Responsible for the efficiency of payroll systems and processes.
- Works cross-functionally to ensure the accurate and efficient functional operation of all payroll systems and maintenance of data integrity.
- Recommends related technology solutions to enhance processes across the district.
- Makes decisions on all system configuration and process changes.
- Investigates and resolves all system issues.
- Serves as payroll systems, integrations, reports, and processes subject matter expert.
- Responsible for systems process and procedure training.
- Coaches and mentors direct reports.
- Ensures that payrolls are accurate and on time.
What You’ll Need :
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Five (5) or more years of related experience with BIS system administration activities or HRIS, Payroll, or Timekeeping Systems.
- Two (2) or more years of management responsibility experience.
- Knowledge of HR, Payroll and Finance policies and procedures, Federal and State employment laws and statutes.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate with others on challenging, time sensitive projects as a team player.
- Ability to assess appropriate priorities and organize workload on multiple assignments.
- Models excellent customer service.
- High degree of integrity in handling confidential information.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a credible and confident manner at all levels in the organization, both verbally and in writing.
- Advanced computer skills and experience with relevant applications (e.g. proprietary BIS applications) and demonstrated experience with ERP and time collection systems (e.
g. Infor Lawson or Oracle).
SQL knowledge.
