Radiologic Technologist / Rad Tech West Valley Hospital

Your Role With Us :

As a Radiologic Tech at West Valley Hospital in Dallas, OR, you will participate in various assigned tasks related to imaging technology.

You will follow guidelines set by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology to perform diagnostic quality procedures in a safe manner.

While this position is specific to West Valley Hospital, you may also float to Salem Health main campus in Salem, OR, if needed.

Core Functions :

• Selects appropriate radiation exposure factors according to body area, body habitus, and patient condition. Performs X-ray exams.
• Exhibits the ability to analyze his / her examination for completeness and to gather additional patient information or images beyond those called for by standard protocols when necessary
• Demonstrates proficiency in the use of PACS and radiology / hospital information systems
• Demonstrates an understanding of ALARA guidelines by strictly adhering to the Imaging Department’s Radiation Safety polices and procedures

Background / Expertise :

Education :

Associate of Sciences- Graduate of an accredited program, eligible to be licensed by OBMI at time of hire, as well as be eligible for registration with ARRT within 6 months of hire.

Licenses / Registrations / Certifications :

• Current Radiography Licensure through Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI).
• ARRT Registration within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support- within 90 days of hire.
