Process Engineering Technician

Position Overview :

OMEC Smart Card is seeking a skilled Process Engineering Technician with a strong background in process optimization and equipment maintenance.

The ideal candidate will not only possess technical expertise but also demonstrate an understanding of working within an international team, particularly with our colleagues in China.

This role requires someone who can effectively guide production line staff, optimize processes, and maintain equipment to ensure the highest levels of efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities :

• Machine Setup : Ensure proper process parameters are applied during machine setup to maintain high-quality production standards.
• Process Optimization : Continuously optimize production line processes to enhance efficiency, address bottlenecks, and improve overall productivity.
• Quality Monitoring : Monitor process quality in the workshop, ensuring adherence to process yields and promptly addressing any deviations.
• Problem Solving : Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during production to maintain smooth operations.
• Team Guidance : Guide and supervise production line staff, ensuring operations align with process requirements and fostering a collaborative working environment.
• Operator Training : Train operators on basic process knowledge to enable efficient and effective operation of process equipment.
• Equipment Inspection : Participate in daily and spot inspections of equipment, identifying and addressing any issues to prevent downtime.
• Collaboration : Work closely with machine technicians to develop and implement machine improvement plans that enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Process Management : Draft, revise, and implement process technology management systems to ensure consistency and quality in production.
• New Product Integration : Follow up on new products and processes, documenting trial production outcomes and providing feedback for continuous improvement.
• Innovation and Research : Lead experimental research on new processes and technologies, driving continuous improvement in process technology.
• Policy Implementation : Develop and enforce policy objectives for the process department, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Equipment Maintenance : Oversee regular equipment maintenance according to scheduled plans, ensuring compliance with maintenance requirements and minimizing downtime.

Required Qualifications :

• Educational Background : Associate or Vocational degree or higher in engineering or related fields.
• Technical Expertise : Familiarity with project R&D processes, project management, and technical management.
• Analytical Skills : Strong observational, analytical, judgment, and decision-making abilities, with a focus on innovative problem-solving.
• Cultural Fit : Ability to work effectively within an international team, understanding and respecting cultural differences, particularly in collaboration with colleagues in China.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Higher Education : College degree or higher in engineering or related fields.
• Experience : Over 3 years of experience in an engineering position.
• Specialized Knowledge : Background in mechanical engineering, material science, with experience in ultrasonic welding and thermal lamination being a plus.
• Language Skills : Proficiency in Mandarin or experience working in a Chinese business environment is a strong advantage.
