We are looking for a passionate and experienced Yoga Instructor to join our team and contribute to our mission of promoting well-rounded growth in our children.
Job Responsibilities :
- Plan and lead age-appropriate yoga sessions for children, focusing on fun and engaging activities.
- Create a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Teach basic yoga poses, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques.
- Incorporate storytelling, music, and play into yoga sessions to make them enjoyable for young children.
- Monitor and assess each child’s participation and progress, providing individualized support as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate yoga into the overall curriculum.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child’s participation and progress in yoga.
- Utilize Brightwheel for daily communication with parents.
- Maintain a clean and organized yoga space, ensuring all materials and equipment are safe and suitable for young children.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in yoga instruction for children.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive school culture.
Qualifications :
- Certification as a Yoga Instructor, with specialization or experience in teaching yoga to children.
- Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a yoga or fitness setting.
- Strong understanding of child development principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a nurturing and engaging educational environment.
Preferred Skills :
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Familiarity with various yoga styles and techniques suitable for young children.
- Experience incorporating music, storytelling, and play into yoga sessions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and staff.
