RESPONSIBLEFOR :
Computed Tomography (CT) Technologistsspecialize in using ionizing radiation to produce cross-sectionalimages to help doctors diagnose and treat patients. CTTechnologists perform
diagnostic Computerized Tomographicexaminations in accordance with all prescribed standards under thedirect guidance of the supervising Radiologist.
CT Technologistsprovide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal,pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Demonstrates ability to performadvance CT imaging (Cardiac and Vascular) and iscompetent / proficient with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identifiedpatient needs.
Qualifications :
MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED : Graduate of an AMA approved RadiologicTechnology
program.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED : A minimum of one (1) year experience as aRadiological
Technologist. If less than one year asRadiologic Technologist must have advanced
certificationby ARRT in Computed Tomography (CT).
MINIMUMLICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW : Registered by theAmerican
Registry of Radiologic Technology(R).
If less than one year as a Radiologic Technologist,Registered by the American Registry of
RadiologicTechnology (CT).
ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS :
Advanced certification by ARRT in ComputedTomography (CT) preferred.
BLS certified. Six (6) monthsexperience as a CT Technologist preferred.
