Job Summary
- Considered high level pharmacy technician and can complete basic, mid-level, and advanced pharmacy technician functions under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Assists the Pharmacists in preparing and distributing medication, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records, as well as triaging phone calls and supporting primary pharmacy distribution functions.
- Level III Pharmacy Technicians will also be responsible for advanced sterile compounding, including total parenteral nutrition (TPN), chemotherapy, and NICU IVs.
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or the equivalent required.
Experience
- At least 18 months hospital pharmacy (or equivalent as determined by pharmacy leadership), exceeds the minimum requirements of Level II
- Three (3) years experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting preferred.
Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)
Licensure / Certification
- Technician permit issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy upon hire or within 90 days.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification is required
- Compounded Sterile Pharmacy Technician (CSPT) Certification is required
Compensation
Up to $25.24 / hr depeding on previous work experience
