Are you an experienced and licensed Journeyman Electrician looking for a new opportunity? Look no further! We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable electrician to join our team and work on our Generac Home Backup System Installation as well as Residential Service (as needed).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
- Install, modify, and troubleshoot electrical systems, such as lighting, power distribution, motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, control panels, fire alarms, and data communication.
- Test and inspect electrical systems and components using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Repair or replace faulty or damaged wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand and power tools.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with other tradespeople, contractors, engineers, and customers.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.
- Follow all established safety policies and procedures and report any hazards or injuries to the supervisor.
- Supervise, train, and mentor apprentice electricians and helpers.
- Keep current on the latest developments and innovations in the electrical field.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Minimum Education and Certification Requirements :
- Licensed as a Journeyman Electrician (Illinois).
- OSHA 10 required within first 30-days of employment
Minimum Experience Requirements :
- At least four years of experience in electrical work.
- Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Skill in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, motors, generators, transformers, and lighting systems.
Schedule :
The schedule for this role is primarily Monday Friday, day-time hours. Later hours and weekends may be required depending on our workload and the needs / schedules of our customers / clients.
This position requires consistent heavy lifting of up to 75 pounds, in addition to possibly climbing onto roofs and / or tall buildings as well as attics and crawl spaces.
You may need to use a bucket lift for some projects, elevated in the air. Additionally, you may be required to dig / trench outside in increment weather as needed for projects.
All safety measures will be taken and proper PPE (personal protective equipment) will be used in accordance with OSHA standards.
