We are actively hiring for a Benefits Consultant Remote. Join us and support CSAA IG in achieving our goals.

Your Role : As a Benefits Consultant- Remote you will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing health and welfare, and wellness programs.

such as health insurance, life and disability, HSA, FSA, and health support and wellness program initiatives

Your work :

Assists and / or leads the development and design of benefit plans, programs and procedures

Leads in the implementation of benefit plans, programs and procedures

Makes recommendations to offer cost-effective and competitive employee benefits

Responds to complex inquiries from employees and dependents on eligibility, claims, appeals and benefit plan provisions and policies as well as ERISA regulations

Develops and implements new regulatory policies and procedures

Provides guidance, assistance and training to other team members regarding administrative and operational questions

Works with legal counsel, payroll and outside vendors and auditors to resolve problems

Performs accurate and timely plan filings, amendments and notifications in accordance with ERISA, federal, state and local laws and regulations

Develops company-wide and custom benefits and wellness communications and activities including new hire training, ISP information and new program implementation

Required Experience, Education and Skills

Bachelor's degree in related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience

8+ years’ experience in the health and welfare benefits field

Excellent verbal and written communications

Ability to present and consult with employees at all levels

Ability to present program recommendations to all management levels

Ability to understand the most complex data, develop reports (e.g., Excel spreadsheets) from data and formulate and communicate findings

Seasoned analytical skills

Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Thorough knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to employee benefits

Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of health and welfare benefit principles, standard practices, theories, concepts and procedures to enable completion of complex assignments

Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of current trends and practices in the health and welfare benefits field
