Job Responsibilities : As an Associate in the ABS Originations team, you will work across a wide variety of asset classes and jurisdictions to originate, structure, price and execute ABS financings and whole loan acquisitions / securitizations.

You will work on complex financing transactions and competitive portfolio purchase opportunities, with full transaction involvement including bidding / pitching, due diligence, deal execution, and ongoing portfolio management.

You will assist the team in portfolio surveillance, risk and position management, prepare presentations, term sheets and marketing materials, and participate in new business pitches and client management.

You will analyze new opportunities, value assets, coordinate and communicate with internal stakeholders and external counterparties, develop and maintain expertise across different asset classes, transaction structures and jurisdictions, improve processes and create efficiency, and provide execution support on transactions.

  • Work on complex financing transactions and competitive portfolio purchase opportunities - full transaction involvement including bidding / pitching, due diligence, deal execution, and ongoing portfolio management
  • Assist the team in portfolio surveillance, risk and position management (marking, hedging, P&L)
  • Prepare presentations, term sheets and marketing materials, participating in new business pitches and client management
  • Analyze new opportunities : value assets by analyzing data tapes and loan performance history to identify trends and model portfolio cash flows and the develop ABS structures and cash flow models
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal stakeholders (Investment Committee, Sales / Syndicate, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operations, Compliance, Technology, Accounting, Legal, etc.

and external counterparties (Clients, Investors, Lawyers, Rating Agencies, Servicers / Trustees / vendors, etc.)

  • Develop and maintain expertise across different asset classes, transaction structures and jurisdictions; including conducting industry and product research to proactively identify emerging opportunities and work with the team to develop new investment strategies
  • Experience in improving processes and create efficiency and provide execution support on transactions. Review transaction and legal documents.
  • Experience in US loan purchases : portfolios and forward-flows in either whole loan or structured format (Student Loans, Auto, Unsecured Consumer, SME loans / MCA, etc.)
  • Private ABS financings to clients across LATAM and Canada (Mortgages, Payroll finance, Unsecured Consumer, Credit Card, Auto, SME / Merchant Cash Advance)
  • Experience in Private real-estate financing across US Single-Family and iBuyer strategies, and public term issuance for SFR Required qualifications, capabilities and skills :
  • 3+ years of securitization-related experience
  • A high level of motivation, commercial mindset and strong intuition - ability to drive projects and initiatives
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to detect trends and themes in quantitative analyses, understanding how asset performance and market metrics impact deal execution / whole loan valuations
  • Ability to model ABS structures and understanding of how value can be driven via the liabilities structure
  • Proficiency with Rating Agency methodologies for structured finance as well as experience with Intex
  • Possess a positive attitude and determination to complete tasks while demonstrating intellectual curiosity to understand the product and business
  • Strong sense of urgency and understanding of how individual work performance (including speed, attention to detail, quality) impacts the firm's ability to serve clients
  • Capability to understand and tailor workable solutions for various accounting, corporate finance, bank capital, tax, legal and other market considerations
  • Be experienced with US loan purchases : portfolios and forward-flows in either whole loan or structured format (Student Loans, Auto, Unsecured Consumer, SME loans / MCA, etc.)
  • Be knowledgeable with Private ABS financings to clients across LATAM and Canada (Mortgages, Payroll finance, Unsecured Consumer, Credit Card, Auto, SME / Merchant Cash Advance)
  • Be experienced with the Private real-estate financing across US Single-Family and iBuyer strategies, and public term issuance for SFR Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills :
  • Expertise with VBA, Python or similar programming language highly desirable
  • Excellent writing, research, and verbal communication / presentation skills
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive with the ability to multitask / prioritize with strong attention to details
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to work with stakeholders in multi-cultural environments
