Job Highlights :
We are looking for an experienced pharmacy technician to join our Dean Medical Group Anticoagulation Clinic (DMG AC Clinic) ambulatory team.
Our AC clinic monitors all patients within DMG that take blood thinners (warfarin and DOACs) as these are high risk medications that benefit from additional oversight and management.
Typical duties for this position include supporting the pharmacists and nurses in our clinic by scheduling appointments, answering patient phone calls, triaging referrals, communicating with provider offices, and following up with patients overdue for lab.
Hybrid In-Office / Work from Home Schedule
3 week rotation : 2 weeks remote, 1 week in-person at 1808 W. Beltline Hwy, Madison
Monday Friday, Day Shift
No nights, weekends, or holidays

Job Summary :
Works as a member of the pharmacy team to provide optimal services to patients seeking pharmacy services within the organization.
Facilitates day to day operations, develops, implements, and follows operational procedures to promote exceptional patient care.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements :
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completes general administrative responsibilities, including answering and triaging incoming phone calls, handling voicemail messages, and coordinating department schedules.
- Maintains relevant reports, including accurately collecting and recording pertinent performance indicators.
- Coordinates patient enrollment by processing referrals, contacting patients, and sending required written correspondence materials.
- Participates in and / or leads initiatives to improve patient care within the organization.
- Communicates appropriately and effectively both within and outside of the department in order to ensure safety across the continuum of care.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
High School diploma / GED or 10 years of work experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent lifting / carrying and pushing / pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot / leg and hand / arm movements.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent keyboard use / data entry.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
- Occasional lifting / carrying and pushing / pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Rare climbing.
