Medica's Benefit Contract Product Analyst is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of documents that effectively communicate to the member the intent of the benefit design and also safeguards the company from legal exposure or liability.
The incumbent collaborates with internal departments including Product, Legal, IT, Compliance, Communications, Network, and governmental agencies.
Drafts and manages the product & marketing templates based on regulatory and business requirements, and other information required for federal and state Qualified Health Plan certification filing which requires subject matter expertise in templates for
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 years of benefit, insurance or healthcare related work experience beyond degree, preferably in health insurance industry
- Experience in contract analysis and drafting, or product development and management
- Excellent understanding and working knowledge of benefits, policies, and state regulatory compliance requirements
- Auditing and / or proofing experience
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in the HMO or insurance industry, with Individual and Family Business or Commercial Essential Health Benefits experience preferred
- Knowledge of insurance contract, health insurance or managed care products, or health insurance benefit design preferred
Skills and Abilities :
- Strong written, verbal, and editing skills are required
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word required
- Strong ability to develop a hands-on understanding of a multiple variety of software applications
- Problem solving skills required
- Microsoft Word or Eloquence or other platform coding a plus
- Experience with iPDM, Eloquence, and / or StepWise PLM preferred
- Highly organized with ability to use multiple resources to complete tasks
- Experience working with Product, Compliance, and / or Legal colleagues is preferred
This position is a Hub role, which requires an employee to occasionally come onsite to the designated office for applicable heads-up work.
Frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership.
The full salary range for this position is $67,100 - $115,100. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and / or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.
