Our company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Revenue Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This is a permanent position that offers an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in our financial operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the revenue cycle of the company, including preparing revenue related entries, production allocations, and reconciling monthly purchaser statements.
They will also be tasked with processing revenue payments and completing monthly federal and state royalty reports. This position requires a deep understanding of GAAP, General Ledger, and Accounting principles, as well as expertise in Financial Reporting and Revenue Recognition.
Responsibilities :
- Manage and oversee the entire revenue cycle of the company.
- Prepare revenue related entries and production allocations.
- Reconcile monthly purchaser statements accurately and in a timely manner.
- Process revenue payments ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Complete monthly federal and state royalty reports.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, General Ledger, and Accounting principles.
- Prepare and present financial reports, highlighting any significant issues or discrepancies.
- Participate in the development of revenue recognition policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other finance team members to streamline financial operations and improve financial performance.
- Provide support during internal and external audits.
- Stay updated with industry trends and changes in accounting standards that may impact the company’s revenue recognition policies.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the finance industry or oil and gas industry.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Financial Reporting, GAAP, General Ledger, and Accounting.
- Proven experience in preparing revenue related entries, production allocations, reconciling monthly purchaser statements, processing revenue payments, and completing monthly federal and state royalty reports.
- Strong understanding of Revenue Recognition principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
