Based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Aberdeen Dynamics is a full-service motion and control solutions provider with over 50 years of experience.

We specialize in fluid power design, hydraulic systems, pneumatic control, and electro-mechanical solutions. Our expertise serves industries like oil and gas, rigging and recovery, power generation, construction, manufacturing, and process and pipeline.

We are trusted for engineering solutions and are known for designing and fabricating custom hydraulic power units, hydraulic valve actuators, and hydraulic winch packages.

The job of the Technical Inside Sales Representative is to provide a positive smooth sales process for our customers. This will be accomplished through superb communication skills, technical problem-solving, and prompt responsiveness on the phone or in person at the sales counter.

This role also develops new sales leads and seeks opportunities to present additional products to current customers. Occasionally, this role may be required to work overtime to satisfy customers’ needs or other duties as the company requires.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Eye protection - Company supplied when in the shop.
  • Steel-Toed Shoes Employee supplied when in the hose production area.

Physical Demands

The employee will occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch; the employee will regularly stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel;

reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Must possess good physical dexterity and have the ability to perform manual tasks and body movement.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision; peripheral vision; depth perception;

ability to adjust visual focus.

  • The employee is required to be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • This job requires an extensive amount of typing and use of hands.

Tasks

  • Operate a computer with Fluid’s operating system.
  • Assist Customers at the counter, including cash and credit card transactions.
  • Communicate with customers through phone, email, and face-to-face.
  • Enter and confirm customer orders.
  • Setup new customers
  • Get list pricing and discounting on material from vendors.
  • Create Bills of Material
  • Utilize customer and vendor portals
  • Quoting of jobs price and availability.

Provide HTS and ECCN codes when applicable.)

  • Coordinate returns (ATRs).
  • Process credit card payments.
  • Provide product training for customers.
  • Analyze customer problems and work to resolve them.
  • Read and understand engineering schematics and documentation.
  • Identify necessary components and parts required for the job.
  • Maintain a clean work area.

Skills and Competencies

  • Detail Oriented Ensure selected and quoted products meet customer specifications and Aberdeen’s terms.
  • Computer Must be proficient at typing and using the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Reading Comprehension Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and procedures.
  • Written Communication Communicate and document work through written communication.
  • Basic Arithmetic Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Knowledge of computing basic formulas.
  • Time Management work and complete multiple tasks simultaneously and in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring Assessing performance of yourself and process to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Problem-Solving Identify problems, develop, and evaluate options to correct and implement solutions.

Knowledge and Education

  • Prefer a minimum of 5 years of technical and working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and componentry.
  • English Language
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
