POSITION SUMMARY : The Lead Dining Room Server serves our residents in a formal restaurant setting using established rules of etiquette.
The Lead Dining Room Server is also responsible for training the new servers, learning the service styles of all three of our dining rooms, closing the dining room after service, managing a staff of servers in several locations.
Successful candidates will work in a non-tipping environment, perfect for those seeking steady hours and income. Ideal candidates will be passionate about providing superior customer service, will excel at building relationships, and have a professional and outgoing personality.
Your ability to work weekends and holidays is essential in this role.
Schedule : Full Time
6am-2pm / 12pm-8pm / hybrid / Weekend availability
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Interacts with residents, families, staff, and other visitors to the community in a pleasant, respectful, and courteous manner
- Set up dining room, which includes a full place setting at every seat, extra cups, saucers, soup bowls and plates, glasses and napkins in their appropriate locations
- Serve residents their requested meal and beverage items
- Inform residents of the daily menu choices
- Acts as a positive representative of the community at all times
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, & SKILLS REQUIRED :
- Experience working in the hospitality or restaurant industry required.
- Skilled at interacting with a wide variety of people, particularly the elderly and their family members
- Ability to maintain a customer focus treating all customers with respect and integrity
- Ability to lead by example
- Give direction and coach servers on Balfour dining etiquette
