Summary Statement : The Specialist, Workforce Management is responsible for creating all weekly schedules for the property.
This role is key in making crucial decisions on staffing based on business demands. The ideal candidate creates a work environment that supports our core values, and promotes integrity, teamwork, performance, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction.
All responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with all laws and regulations, as well as Resorts World Las Vegas policies, practices, and procedures.
Primary Job Duties : Determine the balance between optimum scheduling, service expectations and current legal / legislative requirements.
Analyze data provided by both departments and finance to ensure appropriate staffing levels are met. Evaluate scheduled vs.
actual labor throughout the business to identify trends in business activity. Work with multiple departments to oversee various schedules.
Modify system configurations, such as work rules, rotations, and communities based on changes employee status and financial / business forecasts.
Oversee employee paid and unpaid time off requests. Identify opportunities and create scheduling solutions for departments based on current business demands as well as exceptions.
Collaborate with department leaders and work as a team to ensure accurate staffing levels and to formulate efficient strategies by completing and adjusting daily schedule operations, such as leave requests and call outs.
Complete schedules and all assigned job duties timely and effectively. Adjust staffing needs based on special events, large reservations and casino tournaments while maintaining compliance with scheduling to include departments covered by collective bargaining agreements.
Establish best practices to enhance staffing while following current labor agreements. Ensure ethical and equity issues are identified and managed in the scheduling process.
Provide guidance and support to department teams around scheduling, labor and leave management. Other duties as assigned.
Use personal device / cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc. Qualifications : Includes but is not limited to : Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Ability to effectively communicate in English. Polished appearance and demeanor. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
Preferred : Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Fluent in more than one language. Previous experience with scheduling and forecasting software.
Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting. Minimum Education and Experience : At least 18 years old.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum one year of data analysis experience in a similar or related field. Minimum one year of workforce management or labor scheduling experience in a similar or related field.
