As an Inbound Sales Colleague, you are responsible for effectively guiding customers through their shopping journey while answering and handling inbound phone calls.
Maintaining high customer satisfaction and professionalism as a selling representative, you build relationships by prioritizing customer selling needs.
Your focus on maximizing sales through upselling and cross-selling allows you to personalize the Macy’s shopping experience for our customers.

What you will do
- Answer inbound calls; use selling skills to assist customers with their transactions
- Maintain courtesy, customer satisfaction, and professionalism
- Apply proper sales techniques and achieve performance goals
- Deliver products and services and maximize additional revenue
- Perform side-by-side comparisons with competitors’ products and services
- Promote and communicate current sales and loyalty promotions
- Stay organized, multi-task and collaborate with peers and management
- Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

- Advanced in the use of Microsoft Office Suite tools.
- Prior sales experience preferred.
- Prior contact center, shared services or equivalent experience preferred.
Essential Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods (at least two consecutive hours) of standing / walking around the store or department
- Frequent use of computers and handheld electronic equipment
- Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling, stooping and color vision.
- This position requires lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands. Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 30 lbs.
