e. Security+ CE). Parks Professional Placements is seeking a Sr. Linux and a Sr. Windows Administrator in New Orleans, LA.
This position maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers. Sets up administrator and service accounts, maintains system documentation, tunes system performance, installs system-wide software, and allocates mass storage space.
Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation, and provides backup recovery.
Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources Responsibilities (Linux) :
- Create and Maintain Amazon Web Services (AWS) Environment
- Provide LINUX administration in the following functions : LINUX server deployment, optimization, application design / architecture, system upgrades and patching.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose advanced LINUX server issues, including reliability issues, performance concerns, and software bugs.
- Assist in the design and implementation of existing and new technologies and services in support of program / project initiatives.
- Acknowledgement and Remediation of findings in the weekly vulnerability scan remediation process (ACAS)
- Perform DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) on systems as necessary
- Ensure Operating System is in compliance with DoD-mandated directives
- Perform Installation, Patching, Backups and Recovery Responsibilities (Windows) Analyzes requirements and design specifications for functional activities.
- Should provide identification / fixing for the problems within existing systems design / implementation of new systems, enhances the existing systems and participates in analysis, design and new construction of virtual IT systems.
- Responsible for installation, configuration and administration of multiple COTS products.
- Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers and COTS Administrators.
- Sets up administrator and service accounts, applies STIG's to server, maintains security posture of server, maintains system documentation, tunes system performance, installs system-wide software, and allocates mass storage space.

- Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s Degree (4 years of additional experience may be substituted for a Bachelor Degree)
- 6+ Years’ experience
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Linux administrator. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 and 7, preferred.
- UNIX shell scripting experience.
- Unix Security Framework knowledge (PAM, KDC / LDAP, SSH key management, etc.).
- Experience with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG)
- LDAP / DNS Management Desired Responsibilities / Skills (Linux) :
- Experience with RedHat Directory Server or other LDAP implementation, design and implementation
- Experience with automation tools (i.e Puppet Chef or Ansible)
- AWS certification preferred · Experience with AWS Server EC2 Server Creation and Maintenance
- RMF Compliance Controls
- CISSP, CISA, CISM, AWS Certified Information Security Manager, Firewall Management ·
