Quality Manager Heavy Manufacturing
Location : North of Amarillo, TX in Kansas

Role Overview : As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and continuously enhancing the company’s quality systems and processes.
You will oversee all quality-related aspects of manufacturing operations, from initial material handling through to product shipping.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee and refine the company’s quality management system and procedures
- Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards and quality management systems
- Manage and lead quality improvement initiatives using advanced tools like FMEA, Control Plans, CAPA, SPC, and Root Cause Analysis
- Conduct audits and ensure compliance with all quality standards
- Monitor and document material and part conformance, addressing any issues promptly
- Understand and manage all aspects of plant operations including receiving, material handling, manufacturing, packaging, and shipping
- Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, project management, and process documentation
- Prepare and present management reports and quality indicators
- Lead quality training programs and problem-solving teams
- Consult on quality tools, software, and systems
- Ensure real-time documentation of nonconforming products and communicate issues effectively for resolution
- Ensure compliance with ISO9001 regulations
- Overseeing quality standards for welding and painting
Qualifications :
- Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- At least 5 years of quality experience
- 3-5 years of experience in heavy manufacturing
- CWI certification is a plus
- Experience with welding / painting
- Proficiency with advanced quality tools and methodologies
- Deep understanding of industry standards and quality management systems
- Proven track record in leading audit processes and maintaining quality conformance
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply sound judgment in technical issues
