Responsible for the daily operation, management and supervision of all Donation Coordinators and Donor Eligibility staff.

Ensure compliance with all standards, rules and policies regarding donor screening, authorization, consent and eligibility are met.

Coordinate communication between recovery divisions within the Foundation in order to facilitate customer satisfaction and donor eligibility determination within established time frames.

Responsibilities :

• Coordinates, and evaluates all aspects of the tissue referral, authorization and donor eligibility (DE) activities of LifeLink.
• Directs DC DE activities, including operational, clinical, and / or personnel issues. Ensure appropriate controls are in place to oversee work both in the office and remotely when permitted for certain staff.
• Direct supervision of Managers and Supervisors.
• Analyzes operational and performance data and assesses effectiveness of current policy and procedures, identifying and directing situational problem resolution and process improvement activities.
• Directs reviews, consults and / or participates in annual and periodic employee evaluations.
• Establish regular communication schedule with all direct reports and peers.
• Reviews, recommends, and facilitates operational proposals; pre-hire documentation; DC DE related policies, procedures, forms and protocols;

expense reporting and capital expenditures.

• Participate in CAPA program and ensure timely resolution of all investigations and corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain a positive work environment through the delivery of training, coaching, mentoring and staff development.
• Ensures appropriate communication between Donor Services and other agencies operating in the service area, including but not limited to;

OPO Executive Directors, Medical Examiners Offices, hospitals, Funeral Homes, affiliated recovery agencies and referring physicians.

Develop and monitor key performance metrics. Collect and share performance measurement data with staff and leadership each month.

Initiate performance improvement projects as indicated.

• Ensures / maintains appropriate communication and good working relationships with the LifeLink OPO’s and the designated eye banks.
• Work collaboratively with the Director, Foundation Tissue Recovery to coordinate all tissue donor activity, including the collection of all information needed to determine donor eligibility.

Requirements :

• A four-year degree in a medically related field preferred, or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in a regulated environment, Tissue Bank experience preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge and analysis of organ / tissue development and recovery activities.
• Leadership and interpersonal skills necessary to oversee daily operational activities.
• Strong communication skills.

Working Conditions :

Pleasant and comfortable work environment. Extended hours may be required to coordinate various activities of staff. Local and national travel may be required.

Work from home may be permitted.
